Forge is a steel watch on your wrist: brushed black steel with a vertical brushed panel, a machined frame with screws, faceted applied indices and sword hands with black inserts. A serif digital time with the date and week sits at the top, two big subdials with a block scale show your battery and heart rate, and three small ones the weather, your steps and your distance.

Forge is a steel watch on your wrist: brushed black steel with a vertical brushed panel, a machined frame with screws, faceted applied indices and sword hands with black inserts. A serif digital time with the date and week sits at the top, two big subdials with a block scale show your battery and heart rate, and three small ones the weather, your steps and your distance. Prefer it light? The Silver version has a brushed silver dial with dark type. Every subdial can show any of 20 metrics, or nothing.

What you can change
Accent colour
Keep the polished steel, or light the subdial scales, gauges and seconds hand in gold, red, blue, green or orange (setting "Accent colour").
Change every metric
Each of the five fields can show any of 20 metrics - battery, Body Battery, recovery time, heart rate, steps, weekly running distance, weather, calories, floors climbed, active minutes, distance today, stress, notifications, altitude, sunrise/sunset, respiration, pulse ox, battery days left, air pressure, your next calendar event.
Remove any metric
Set a field to "Empty" and it is gone.

How do I change a field or a colour?
On the watch: hold the middle-left (UP/MENU) button on the watch face, choose Watch face, then Customize. In the phone: open the Connect IQ app, go to My Device, Watch Faces, Forge, then Settings. Every change shows at once.
Is it a subscription?
No. You buy it once in the Connect IQ store and keep every future update.
Does it drain the battery?
The face is built to be as frugal as a Garmin face: it redraws once a minute and the always-on screen is dimmed and minimal on AMOLED watches.
