What you can change

Change every metric

Each of the seven fields can show any of 19 metrics - battery, Body Battery, recovery time, heart rate, steps, weekly running distance, weather, calories, floors climbed, active minutes, distance today, stress, notifications, altitude, sunrise/sunset, respiration, pulse ox, battery days left, air pressure.

Remove any metric

Set a field to "Empty" and it is gone. Remove them all for a clean face with only the time over the map.

Analog or digital (setting "Time display")

"Analog + digital", "Analog only" or "Digital only".

All 3 colourways included in one purchase

Contour, Survey, Terrain - switch any time (setting "Colourway").

Hands on top or under the data, your choice (setting "Hands"): "Hands on top" sweeps the hands over every number, like a mechanical watch; "Data on top" keeps every number readable.

12 or 24-hour time as your watch is set; a leading zero as the watch shows it, always (09:41) or never (9:41) (setting "Leading zero"); an AM/PM marker (setting "AM/PM marker").

The date your way (setting "Date line")

Shown, or off for a cleaner face.

Always-on display like the face (its ring, hands and colours) or minimal, dim to bright; the full face on solar/MIP watches.

Gym Notes workout (off by default)

Today's workout from the Gym Notes app, small under the time.

Change everything on the watch or in the Connect IQ app; every change shows at once.

04 Metrics

20 metrics for every field.

Each of the 7 fields shows any of them, or nothing at all. Swap them any time on the watch or in the app.

07 What's new

Version 1.4.2

First released 4 Oct 2026. Updates are free and install by themselves.

  1. 1.4.11 Nov 2026
    • Steps now count towards your own daily step goal from Garmin Connect (it was fixed at 10,000), so 7,500 steps of a 7,500 goal is 100%. Thanks for spotting it!
  2. 1.4.029 Oct 2026
    • New always-on display that looks like the face: its ring, its hands and its own colours - and no digital time when you have switched it off. Brightness: dim, normal or bright (setting "Always-on brightness"); the old minimal screen is still there (setting "Always-on display").
    • The compass letters on the outer ring (E, S, W) are bigger - easier to read.
    • New map: Terrain, a calm dark map with an orange accent, takes the place of Isoline (setting "Colourway").
  3. 1.3.029 Oct 2026
    • New setting "Date line": show the date, or turn it off - change it on the watch or in the Connect IQ app.
  4. 1.2.128 Oct 2026
    • The date now shows correctly in every watch language: letters such as Č, Ř, Ł or Ş appeared as an empty box; they now show as their plain letter, and other alphabets use the English abbreviation.
  5. 1.2.028 Oct 2026
    • Much bigger and easier to read: the wide compass bezel is now a slim ring at the very edge, so the map fills the whole screen and the time, date and data boxes are about 35-50 % larger.
    • Longer hands that reach out over the whole map.
  6. 1.1.025 Oct 2026
    • New setting "Hands": the hands on top of the data, or the data on top of the hands - your choice (thanks for the feedback!).
    • New setting "Leading zero": the hour as the watch shows it, always with a zero (09:41) or never (9:41).
    • New setting "AM/PM marker": shows AM or PM next to a 12-hour time.
    • Bigger numbers and labels on the smaller watches (Forerunner 165, 170, 70 and 265S, vívoactive 5 and 6, Venu 3S and more): easier to read at a glance.
